I just read an online comment in which the writer tried to argue that a hard salary cap in baseball would benefit players more than the current soft cap. The guy must be great at Twister. Rather than any sort of cap, I still think both sides should explore the idea of a tax on each team’s revenues. Work on a formula that would generate the current level of revenue sharing, and go from there. What have they got to lose?
