Sugar and Spice, Contd.

 This is how Clare’s day went yesterday—workout, batting cages, date.  Taking a rest between #’s two and three, she sat in the living room while I did my Margaret Hamilton imitation on the Exercycle.

That might not seem strange until you know what was in the DVR player, not The Wizard of Oz but Band of Brothers.  It only seemed right to ride and watch on this, the 70^th anniversary of Bastogne and the Ardennes.  And Clare?  You could say she held her ground quite well.  “I can’t get over how good this is,” my daughter said after the scene where Easy Company has to endure a shelling that turns trees in splinters of shrapnel.  Together, we tried to name all the other roles we’ve seen the lead actors in.  This is a Damian Lewis household, and Scott Grimes, too.
