soul—late January, with the thermometer going more negative than a Chicago mayoral
race. Did my daughter ever play a spring
sport? Will the Pro Bowl end before Groundhog
Day? Is watching the Bulls lose to the
Cavaliers in the last seconds a good use of one’s time?
Sometimes, all the answers seem to
be, No.
