The White Sox
have just signed three 16-year olds, two from the Dominican Republic and one
from Colombia. One of the Dominican teenagers reportedly received a bonus of
$900,000 while his Colombian counterpart got $750,000.
What a great message
to send to women athletes: We don’t care how young the players are or where
they come from, as long as they’re guys.
Unless I missed it, no women players were selected in last month’s MLB
draft.
